A few weeks ago I returned from road trip to Haarlem in Netherlands where I have part of family, so I went to visit them. I'm sorry I wasn't able to write this traveling post because I was very busy and since I have one day left of my holidays, it is right time to write something about this trip.
If you watched this video, or following my website for very long time you may know that I was in Netherlands in 2011 visit family and then we headed do Brussels and Paris. I don't have any quality photos from that trip because I have my good old camera with terrible photos and terrible videos. You can see example of them at the beginning of video. Bu anyway, back to my 2015 trip. It was very hot here in Czech Republic and I was very happy that I could leave these crazy high temperatures to cool down for a while in Netherlands. I was happy when I somewhere near Leipzig saw rain, after two months of blue skyes I saw rain. We then stop at gas station to fuel car and to eat something for breakfast. It was great to just standing out there in rain, and enjoying cold air filled with water. About 50 kilometers away from Asmsterdam, our GPS got lost so we ended in some city near highway but we quickly managed to get back to higway, to traffic jam unfortunately. After another crazy boring hour of ride we finally saw planes coming to land to Schiphol Airport. Netherlands was clearly telling us that we are here. We headed to Haarlem, city near Amsterdam where we had our family relatives and hotel.

We managed to get same hotel as in 2011, we were very satisfied with it back in 2011 and we were even more satisfied this year. We have got a huge hotel room with multiple rooms so I could finally have that feeling that I'm alone on travels, I have got a small side room with interesting view, sink, mirror and table, but I was more amazed by fact that I could from bed watch planes taking of Schiphol.

After we took a short break we headed to finally visit our family relatives, we had a lunch with them and after that we headed to airport for some sweet spotting. Schiphol Airport have great opportunities to watch planes, you don't have to stress about police or something like that, like in London City where I've had problems with police. Main advantage of some locations around Schiphol are fact that there isn't any fence, only thing that prevents you from going on runway is canal, because Schiphol Airport is under sea level, I think about 2 feets if I remember correctly from my FSX flights.

I remember from 2011 that there is even location near runway with Mc'Donalds fast food near fence and you can take cool pictures from there, but you need to be lucky with arrivals, we managed to catch arrivals on different runways so we were onn a huge strip with many people here, sitting in grass, families were here watching planes with small kids. There was just a great atmosphere here. There were patroling police cars so, you can feel safe and at the same time feel good that you can take photos without noticing a whole police department.

If you are lucky enough you can take cool pictures when both planes are landing, because Schiphol have multiple runways for landings and take-offs. I was even lucky that British Airway co-pilot waved to people and I was able to took a picture of it. I just love British Airways.

After a short spotting we went to see sea at Zandwoort. I have been there before in 2011, but back then was very cold and windy, but today, there was beatyfull weather, many people were swimming in sea and blue skyes full with planes inbound to Schiphol.

We ate dinner in Italian restaurant in Zandvoort center, I have great tuna fish pizza and after that we headed back to hotel. At night was heavy storm ragging above Haarlem, because I had a panoramatic view from my bed I could watch crazy weather out there. Morning was again beatifull, with no clouds, only rigged by planes to Schiphol. Today we wanted to go to Amsterdam by train. I was super excited about that because I'm not riding trains very often. Here in Czech Republic, all trains pretty much sucks so I'm traveling by train only in other countries. But sadly I still didn't ride train in England. We took a train on Haarlem Train Station that was heading for Central Station at Amsterdam. We managed to get a huge train with two floors so we went to second floor and we were enjoying our 15 minutes ride to Amsterdam.

After we arrived to Amsterdam and left train and station we went to an hour boat trip through canals of Amsterdam.

I like how accurate they build their houses. Every house have different shape, color and check that crazy windows. It is really cool.

After an hour of journey through canals of Amsterdam we took a break at restaurant near river to fill our throats with some water and caffee and we continued our expedition. We ended on very crowded square with a monument so we took a break, a few photos and returned back for Haarlem bound trains to get launch in greates chinese restaurant in whole Netherlads.

We had a great lunch at that chinese restaurant. It was called Chinese Palace I think, but we took a food to family relatives home and have a huge family lunch. Best food I ate during holidays. After that we went for a little shopping trip to near store just to buy amazing Dutch Mayonnaise and after all that we went to Haarlem center but our walk there was interrupted by rain that came from nowhere.

That was all for that day, next day we went to a breakfast with family relatives and after that we went for a 800 kilometers long ride back home. It was great road trip, Netherlands is beatyfull country and I can only recommend to going there, especially if you are from Europe and you have it close as us.
